Lee-Ann heads Partner Relations and the Program Office for the Digital Health CRC. She draws upon her experience in deploying transformational technologies at some of the largest Australasian public and private institutions, including the Capital Markets CRC, Medibank, Australia Post, the Auckland District Health Board and the Auckland Regional Public Health Service. The Digital Health CRC program combines the collective efforts of our industry and academic partners in delivering research on the efficacy and integrity of health interventions, value and impact on consumers and the health system at large.
Lee-Ann is a specialist in transformational management focussed on delivering value and insights into the Australian health system, most recently supporting over 20 projects as the Head of Partner Relations within the CMCRC. Having previously implemented such projects as a new model of care for paediatric diabetes and the overhaul of the delivery of health services within the Auckland Regional Public Health Service. She is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand in Law and Industrial Psychology.
Professor Shaw is the Health Systems Lead & Director of Capacity Building at Digital Health CRC. He is also the inaugural Professor of eHealth and Director of Research in Implementation Science and eHealth Group (RISe) at the University of Sydney. His research focus is on the impact of technology on healthcare and translation of evidence into practice. Over the last 5 years he has been CI on over 20 grants and consultancies totaling over $12M. He teaches annually on the Harvard Macy program on Innovation in Healthcare and Education in Boston and has acted as an advisor to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Partners Harvard Medical International and the Joint Commission in the United States. He will participate in the development and running of the Fellowship training program and co-lead the development of the research program.
The Chief Scientist and Director of Research for the Digital Health CRC, Federico holds a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University and a PhD in Physics from the University of Genoa, Italy. He is currently the Head of Research of the Health Market Quality program at Capital Markets CRC and an Associate Professor at the Translational Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University. Prior to joining Western Sydney University in 2011 he worked at the RAND Corporation, where, among other projects, he led the team that developed the COMPARE micro-simulation model for the analysis of the ‘Obama Care’ health insurance reform. He has extensive experience in modelling health benefits and costs, as well as an established background in data science, which he gained by conducting research for 10 years at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
